Valpolicella Ripasso Classico Superiore DOC is a refined and full-bodied Italian red wine from the Veneto region, crafted using the traditional Ripasso method—where young Valpolicella wine is “repassed” over the dried grape skins used for Amarone. This process enhances structure, richness, and aromatic complexity.

In the glass, it displays a deep ruby red color with garnet reflections as it matures. The nose is elegant and layered, offering aromas of ripe cherries, red berries, and plums, enriched by notes of dried fruit, spice, and a light hint of chocolate.

On the palate, it is smooth, well-structured, and medium to full-bodied, with soft tannins and a velvety texture. Flavors of dark fruit, raisin, and subtle spice create a balanced and harmonious profile, leading to a long, warm finish. Compared to Amarone, it is more approachable, yet still rich and complex—often referred to as a “baby Amarone.”
